Anti-Trump Billionaire Endorses Warmonger Nikki Haley for President to defeat Trump, But Will She Win Over the Republican Base?
In case you missed this yesterday, billionaire Charles Koch, through the Koch-backed super PAC Americans for Prosperity Action, endorsed Nikki Haley for president in an effort to defeat former President Donald Trump.
Left-wing media quickly noted that the endorsement concludes a yearlong search for a viable Republican alternative to challenge Trump, with Americans for Prosperity Action having already spent millions criticizing Trump's electability against President Joe Biden.
NOTE: Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz noted that "The Kochs have spent millions funding anti-war, foreign policy realism think tanks over many years. Why is the Koch entity now supporting the most pro-war, neoconservative Republican running? Makes no sense."
My take: I have lived long enough, and got white hair by the way, to know that whether here in Washington DC where I am writing this, or over there wherever you're reading it, the truth remains that Nikki Haley will most likely not become the GOP nominee even with all the pro-war billionaires behind her.
First, she is deeply disliked by the Republican base; second, she is uncomfortable using her real name while saying she will punish social media companies that allow anyone to interact online anonymously, a violation of the US Constitution, thereby showing some dictatorial tendencies. She's also a warmonger who has made a lot of money as a defense contractor and speaker. She also doesn't understand what being President for all Americans means. In my opinion, she's highly unqualified to be the leader of the free world.
