Trump easily won the Conservative Political Action Conference’s (CPAC) straw poll here in the Washington DC area on Saturday with 62 percent support, it had become apparent to me, based on my conservations with many people at the event, that he was the frontrunner among attendees.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is yet to officially announce that he is running to be president of the United States, came a distant second in the straw poll, winning 20 percent support.
